Liberty Hill HS Band: Summer 2026 Check-In #3

Panther Band and Guard Family,

Happy Saturday! We are all SO excited to see everyone this Monday, July 20, to start Summer Band for our Fall 2026 production, Pop!.

With that, we have a few pieces of information that are important to get out before we see everyone in a few days.

First, we have finally moved into our new band hall! The Band Hall is still on the back of campus, just a little further to the right (compared to the old Band Hall).

As such, pickup/dropoff locations have changed slightly. Please either park in the parking spaces across from the new bus lane or along the bus lane (this is closest to the new band hall). Please do not drive directly to the Band Hall door.

The entrance to the Band Hall are two 10-foot tall double doors. We’ll have student leaders posted outside helping guide people to the new entrance.

REMINDER: We need every student in the program to submit the Parent/Student UIL Marching Band Acknowledgement Form, which we are required to have on file for every student by the UIL.

This form distills the rehearsal guidelines and restrictions from UIL into an easy-to-read form. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding anything found on this form.

If you have not uploaded your physical to RankOne, please do so as soon as possible. If you have questions/need support regarding RankOne, please contact our Athletic Trainer, Hannah Miller, at hmiller@libertyhill.txed.net. If you are unable to load your student’s physical into RankOne, please send a scanned copy to me (jmunoz2@libertyhill.txed.net) and Ms. Turner (aturner@libertyhill.txed.net).

Students will be sized for their marching uniform in the afternoon block (1 PM) during summer band, starting with seniors. It is critical that students have their compression shorts and a properly fitting shirt (not overly large, baggy, etc.) to correctly size their marching uniform. Please bring these with you to summer band so we can be as efficient as possible with our uniform assignments.

French horn players: Bring your concert instruments with you (in addition to your mellophone) on Monday so we can redistribute instruments.

Parents, if your student is going to be absent from a rehearsal (even partially), please submit an Absence Request Form. Please look ahead on your calendars and put in Absence Requests as far in advance as you can, especially for conflicts you are already aware of.

Finally, our Social Officers have come up with some fun theme (dress up) days for summer band - these will be added to the band calendar shortly. Dress up (in attire you can rehearse in!) and let's have some fun during summer band!

Can't wait to get started! Go Panthers!
