Summer 2025 Check-In #3

Panther Band and Guard Family,

We have been so happy seeing our percussion and guard members this week and can't wait to see the entire band program next week!

What does my child need to bring to summer band?

  • Music and instrument

  • Sunscreen

  • Lunch or lunch/dinner (for long rehearsal days) - (no students allowed off-campus for summer band)

  • Athletic clothing

  • Athletic shoes (no Converse, Vans, Crocs, flip-flops, etc.)

  • Hat (required)

  • Sunglasses

  • Fanny pack (to hold your phone and your breathing tube while you are marching - you're going to want something like this!)

  • Cooling towel (optional but recommended)

  • 1-gallon water jug (new members and those who purchased a 1-gallon Coleman jug will receive theirs on the first day of summer band)

Why are students not allowed off-campus for lunch?

Two reasons, both equally important: student safety and team-building. We will never have as much time together as we have during summer band. Eating together, getting to know everyone in our organization, building relationships, etc., will only strengthen us as a group moving forward.

Physicals - we need them!

Please continue to upload your physicals and forms in RankOne. We need them before students are here for summer band! If you are having issues with RankOne, please email our LHHS Athletic Trainer, Hannah Miller, at hmiller@libertyhill.txed.net.

In the event you have your physical and are unable to upload it to RankOne, please email it to me (jmunoz2@libertyhill.txed.net) and Ashlynne Turner (aturner@libertyhill.txed.net). You will still need to upload all required paperwork to RankOne (when you are able to), but we need those on hand when we start rehearsing with students.

We are SO excited for our program this year and cannot wait to share that with the community.

Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. It's going to be a great year!
