I hope everyone is staying safe and warm as we navigate this inclement weather. If you have not heard, there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Monday, January 26. As a result, all sectionals and rehearsals are canceled (the Weekly Announcements reflect this). We certainly hope conditions improve enough that we can see everyone on Tuesday!
This spring semester, we are experimenting with an attendance app called TeacherAide to take attendance for sectionals and outside-of-class rehearsals. You might have received an email from attendance@lhpantherband.org with a subject such as "___ Sectional Attendance Update for [STUDENT NAME]."
This is to help us more quickly and efficiently communicate to parents their student's attendance (versus manually sending an email to each parent individually). Please know that these are emails from the directors and not spam! If you have any questions, feel free to direct them to the director's primary LHISD email address. We are still working the kinks out but hope to have this system mastered and implemented so we can roll this out for next marching season.
Please use the official Google Calendar on the band website as our official record of events. For some reason, many of our newly added events have not synced inside of ParentSquare, which is creating some confusion for our students (through no fault of their own). The Google Calendar updates immediately and is always the default calendar we reference when discussing any event. It can be found here.
