Weekly Announcements - Week of 2.9.2026

Panther Band & Guard Family,

Thank you for a phenomenal last week and Saturday! From our Side-by-Side rehearsals with our Liberty Hill MS band students, to our two winter guards making their competitive debut at the TCGC Pieper Contest, and our culminating MS/HS event, Mega Band, on Saturday, it was a fantastic week with lots to be proud of and thankful for.

This week is Panther Preview on Wednesday. Panther Preview is when all incoming 8th grade students come to LHHS for a pep rally, campus tour, etc. The band and guard will be involved in this event, with some differences from years past. The guard will be in the auditorium foyer (where some students will be entering) and the band will start in the gym (instead of the cafeteria stage). This will look and feel like all of our other pep rallies.

Please set a reminder now to wear or bring your jersey with you on Wednesday. We want to make this a great event for all incoming LHMS students and continue the momentum we've built with our future Panther Band members!

Musicians, pay special attention to your respective sectional/percussion ensemble rehearsals this week. The directors will be attending the TMEA Conference this week, leading to some cancellations.
