Weekly Announcements - Week of 8.3.2026

Panther Band & Guard Family,

I can't believe we're in our last full week of summer band (and on the precipice of school starting)! Please look at the calendar this week, as the schedules shift each day due to our professional development schedule.

For our performances this week (Panther Premiere, District Convocation, Meet the Panthers), we will be in our Summer Uniform.

Our Summer Uniform consists of:

  • Band/Guard jersey

  • Black shorts (your own/family provided)

  • Athletic shoes

  • Black socks (of any height)

  • Stud earrings/nose piercings only (no rings, hoops, anything hanging)

  • Faces clean shaven

  • Clear nail polish/French tips only (by August 27, first football game performance)

  • Natural hair color only (by August 27, first football game performance)

On August 4, freshmen band students will participate in Panther Premiere with the rest of the freshmen class, not with the band. On August 6, only select students will perform at District Convocation - those students will be notified tomorrow.

On August 7, all students will participate in Meet the Panthers. Students do not need to wear their jerseys all day - we will give them time to change into their Summer Uniform before we move to our performance space.

Students who drive, please remember to park at the front of campus this week, per the administration's request. Students being dropped off can still be dropped off by the band hall.

March-a-Thon 2026

We are very excited to be partnering with our Band Boosters for our annual March-a-Thon (crowdfunding) fundraiser. As of this weekend, the March-a-Thon has cleared 20% of the goal. Please consider participating if you have not yet signed up - see communication from the Band Boosters via email or flyers sent home on how to do so.

Attendance Key:

  • Present

  • Unexcused Absence

  • Unexcused Tardy

  • Excused Absence

  • Excused Tardy

As always, thank you for your support. Continue to hydrate and rest today - tomorrow's rehearsal will start inside, but we will go outside in the evening to continue learning more drill to Pop!.

We will break for dinner just before 5 PM - bring something to eat, you'll want something in your stomach for drill learning!

Go Panthers!
