Weekly Announcements - Week of 9.29.2025
Panther Band & Guard Family,
Wow - what an exciting and busy last week we've had! From our very own Mason Brecht being named Homecoming King, to our debut of our contest uniform post-football game, ending with our first competitive performance yesterday at the USBands Austin Regional, we are firing on all cylinders.
This week returns to our more normal rehearsal schedule (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday after school) with a few notable adjustments: this week, our Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday rehearsals end at 6:30 PM, not 7:00 PM. Our Friday rehearsal (which is normally scheduled from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM) is an evening rehearsal in Panther Stadium, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
Second (and very exciting), Coach Seaborn approached me about creating a social between the band and the football team earlier this season, and with this being the football team's bye week, we have added this social on Wednesday, from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM. We have already spoken to the classes about this, but this is our first time formally putting this information to the entire program.
For students with masterclasses, you need to go to your masterclasses (we've already canceled/rescheduled the Wednesday masterclasses twice). For everyone else, we hope to see as many of you there as possible. In my 14 years in education, I have never once been approached by the head coach of the football team with the intent of building stronger relationships between our two organizations. I think this is a WONDERFUL first step in helping make that happen.
We are also still missing many of our Student Contracts and Handbook Signature Forms. Please sign and turn these in as soon as possible.

This is a big week for us (as they all are)! We're going to work as fast as we can to get Part 4 on the field and keep detailing the rest of our show to have our strongest performance yet at the Vista Ridge Marching Festival. We hope to see you there!
